This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. — Joshua 1:8
What an awesome Father we have. Oh how he truly loves us and wants so much more greater for us if we would only BELIEVE.
As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe. — Mark 5:36
We as people have a tendency to limit God because we “can’t.” However, God says that what is impossible for man [us] to do, it is possible for him [God] to do. God is not looking to punish us or sabotage us. God is not looking to destroy our lives or shame us. God wants to love us. God wants to prosper us, just how his word tells us.
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. — 2 Corinthians 1:20
When you read the above scripture, you will notice the ending statement:
“then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
This statement from God, our Father clearly shows the love he has for us. God wants us to be prosperous and successful. In fact, when you go to verse 15, you will also learn that God wants for us to rest from all of the heavy toiling and labor, worries and fear, doubt and frustration, and rest and enjoy life.
Yes, God, our Father, said it himself — ENJOY LIFE!
Now, I can’t speak for you, but for me, reading this and being able to meditate on what God spoke, gave me life. It really resurrected life back on the inside of me. All day, I kept saying, God wants me to enjoy life. In the middle of the night, I continued to say, God wants for me to enjoy life. This joy ran over into the next day and the day after and even on today. GOD WANTS FOR ME [AND YOU] TO ENJOY LIFE!
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? — Romans 8:31
Let today be your to enjoy your life — the life that God has given you.
What life is that?
A new life. Life through Jesus Christ. Life the way Jesus lived. A life of love, joy, and peace. A peace that surpasses all understanding.
Maybe today for you it will be to stop and literally smell the roses. Maybe, you need to sit down to a full spread breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner. Maybe, you need to go to the park and sit on the bench and rest. Maybe, you need to go out dancing with friends. Whatever it is for you that brings you joy — GO DO IT! Don’t stop living because things around you appear to be dead. God has all power to restore life unto dead things. God is for you. He loves you and is for you. God cares for you. He doesn’t want you to suffer in pain. The pain you experience brings about life. Just like a mother giving birth to a child. While the mother may bear some pain, the birth of her child takes away all of the pain she felt prior. No matter the situation or circumstance you are facing today, know that God is for you. And when you have God with you, no one or no thing can defeat you. The weapons will form to try and block you from enjoying your life, but DON’T YOU ALLOW THEM TO PROSPER.
It’s time to enjoy your life!
And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. — Luke 18:27
Be encouraged. Be inspired. Be who God created you to be.
