Lazarus Come Forth

Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? — John 11:40

What does it mean to be saved?

For me, in order for a person to be saved, they are going to have to believe.

Believe what?

Believe that God is God and that Jesus Christ represented God in the image of man [flesh] and that he died for our sins showing us how to live a life holy and acceptable unto God   — a living testimony.

What does it mean to believe?

To believe means for you to know. However, what do you do with information that you know? Well, you do it!

When we say we believe in God and that we believe in Jesus, what are we really saying? Are we saying that we trust him to lead the way? Are we saying that we trust him to provide for us, because we know that he provides for us? Are we saying that we trust in God to take care of everything as we and while we be who he created us to be?

And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. — Luke 12:22

Do you trust God to take no thought for your life?

To trust; to believe; to know; to have evidence; to be. Do you trust in God? Do you believe in Jesus?

When God called me to preach and teach his word, I had no prior knowledge, or so I thought. You see many of us think and believe and say that very same thing; however, the truth is, we do. How? We have experience. Our experiences serve as the lessons we need and the equipment we need to go forth.

However, how many of us will continue to hold on to God’s word rather than running and jumping and clinging to the enemy’s word [which are lies by the way]?

Notice in the opening scripture, Jesus said to Martha [and to us], if you would believe, you would see God’s glory.

But we begin to lose sight, lose hope, lose vision, lose strength, lose courage, as soon as things go wrong; as soon as the enemy speaks we run and hide in defeat.

But now is the time for us to rise up. Now is the time for us to go forth.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. — Romans 10:17

When you hear the word of God, what are you to do?

You are to become what the word of God says about you and to you and be it. Be it — represent it; serve as an ambassador of the word of God that not only has been spoken over your life, but has been settled in heaven by God Almighty!

Faith Comes By Hearing. So when you hear the words, YOU ARE HEALED…Receive God’s Rx that YOU ARE HEALED. When you hear God say to you [during your time of study and meditation of the word of God, not the bills and negative situations/circumstances] YOU ARE DEBT FREE…Receive God’s Rx that you are debt free — and go and sin no more.

She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. — John 8:11

Don’t get up from there and continue walking in the same path prior to God giving you your medicine [your healing]. When a person takes medicine, they can’t spit it out and hold it in the corners of their mouth and declare themselves as healed. No, the person would need to intake that medicine whether intravenously or orally or by soaking in it; whatever the method of application, know that the bottom line is YOU MUST RECEIVE IT.

When a person agrees to take medicine, that person BELIEVES that the medicine has POWER to heal. They also believe that the doctor knows BEST and they choose to follow the doctor’s orders because they want to be healed and they want to be free [go home]. Whether if that person had a recommendation, a referral, saw or listened to a commercial, read reviews, whatever it was, even if it was “something told them on the inside,” the person heard, they listened, and they obeyed.

Well, so is the same for us.

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! — Romans 10:14-15

As a pastor and teacher, I know and understand how imperative it is to obey God’s command to teach and preach his word. However, fear was still residing in me. I was afraid of what [I thought] people would say, based off of what those around me were saying.

But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. — Mark 6:4

I thought that I would surely have the support of family and friends from my hometown, but it was the complete opposite. When you read the text in Mark 6, you see how the people looked at Jesus as, “Mary’s son” and “the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon.” It goes on to teach us that Jesus could only heal a few people there — because of their unbelief.

I want to encourage you on today to come forth. Don’t just sit there waiting on a miracle. No! Rise up today and go forth receiving your miracle. Your healing. Your restoration. Your new life. The life of a believer in Jesus Christ. Believing that you are no longer bound to your sins. Believing that you can now go and be who God created you to be and go where God has freed you to go. Go knowing that God is with you and that you have Jesus and the  Holy Spirit there cheering you on with encouragement. As you come forth you will feel the power of God take over your entire mind, body, and soul. You will never be the same again. You will speak with fire and with an anointing that only God could have given you. The time is now. It’s time to come from out of the cave you were hiding in. Come from out of darkness. Come from out of depression. Come from out of loneliness. Come from out of bitterness. Come from out of that place of bondage of captivity that has kept you from being free. Rise up on today. Take off your grave clothes. Put on your new clothes — your royal apparel. Go and show the world that Jesus lives! Show them that he is Lord. Show them that God is love. Rise up today and join the many others around the world that are saying: For God I live. For God I die.

Lazarus come forth!

And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. — Luke 17:14

Be encouraged. Be inspired. Be who God created you to be.
