And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. — Luke 1:46-47
This morning I was able to witness what Mary experienced: my soul magnified the Lord and rejoiced in God. God has been and is so good to me. His love for me surpasses all else. Sometimes we look at a situation and think or ask, “Where is God?” However, if we would look again, we would see that God is right there with us. God is in us. God has not left us. If we would look again, we would see that he is here.
Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me. — Matthew 28:10
You won’t be able to see God when you wallow in pity and gloom and depression. You will see God when you remember his words that he is with us always and if we would believe we will see his glory.
Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? — John 11:40
And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bow shot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept. And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is. Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation. And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink. — Genesis 21:16-19
God promises to give us the desires of our heart. He also promises that we will have whatever we ask for; whatever we believe. So what are you believing? Do you believe that God is greater than all of your problems? Do you believe that no one can pluck you out of the hand of God? Do you believe in God?
I believe! I believe in my heart and I believe it in my mind. My soul believes it too. I witnessed my spirit praise God on this morning without any words coming out of my mouth. God allowed me to watch this miracle happen as I could do nothing but watch. Sometimes we pray to God and praise him out of compulsion or obligation, but to reach such a place can only happen by way of God through Jesus.
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. — 2 Corinthians 9:7
I desired for my thoughts to become God’s thoughts and my ways to become God’s ways. I didn’t want to worry about bills and lack of money or friends, I no longer wanted to be moved by what people [unbelievers] said about me, or even moved by what people said about me as though to support me being who God says I am. I wanted [only want] what I say and do to be all inspired by God. And I saw the Lord do so on today.
This is the LORD’S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. — Psalm 118:23
I owe it all to him. My life yesterday is no more. My life today is so. Actually my life right now in this very moment matters more than what I experienced early this morning. Now is the time to go forth and share that love and light with someone else, so that they too can be encouraged and inspired and who God created them to be.
So off we go into Galilee with great joy! The King and I.
And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ. — Mark 8:29
Be encouraged. Be inspired. Be who God created you to be.
