And the Spirit of the Lord came upon him…

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us — Romans 8:31

The Spirit of the Lord came upon him and did that which was done to the lion, not Samson, but the Lord. God says fear not! No matter where we go or whom we go with, we must know that the Lord our God is with us wherever we go.

In the book of Judges, chapter 14, verse 5, a young lion came upon Samson as he was going down to Timnath with his father and mother and roared at him. [Immediately] the Spirit of the Lord came upon him [mightily] and ripped the young lion to shreds. God tells us in the book of Hebrews, that without faith, it is impossible to please God. When you have faith [believe God], you are covered and protected from all hurt harm and danger. When you have fear [sin; unbelief — don’t believe God], you are exposed to every manner of hurt, harm, and danger. Once you step out of the will [covenant] of God, [faith] he can no longer help you, because you have just told him, I don’t trust you, and I dont need you. It’s like a baby wanting to get out of their mother’s hands to walk alone; however, they are still learning how to walk. Until that baby cries out for their mother to pick them up, the mother simply watches and prays that they don’t fal and that they don’t hurt themself. Even though she knows they will. Well, it’s the same with our Father, God and us. When we beckon him to let us down, he does. And he watches us from afar of make all of these decisions and choices on our own that draw us further away from trusting and believing him. Yet, praise God, he is still with us unbeknownst to us; remember God is a Spirit not a man. God is still with us. In Psalm 23 verse 6, God promises us that goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our life and that we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Hallelujah! That’s God’s awesome love for us. We always have a home with our Father just like the prodigal son. God is not looking to kick us out. He’s seeking to welcome us back in. From since the day when Adam and Eve were kicked out, God made a covenant, a vow that he will never do that again. He’s looking to see all of his children to return to him and it can start today. This is why we must spread the gospel. This is why we must tell our brethren about our Saviour and let them know we have all been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. (Revelation 12:11)

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. — Psalm 23:6

No matter where you are right now, be still and know that God is with you and he is willing to lead you back home. You can be contemplating suicide; battling with depression; feeling alone, abandoned, and rejected; struggling to pay bills; facing eviction; going through a divorce; thinking of robbing or stealing; thinking about selling drugs; or selling your body, etc. Whatever mountain you are facing can be removed when you have faith [believe God]. If you have been thinking or misled to believe that God is not with you, I have come to serve you notice that God is with you and he will never leave you or forsake you.

If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. — Psalm 139:8

The Lord our God will never leave us nor forsake us. Before we can even call on him, he answers us because he knows our every need and has provided all that we will need. (Matthew 6:8) And even if we look down or look away from his voice, we can still rest assured that without a doubt, when we call on the Lord our God, he will answer us. He will rescue us. He will deliver us. He will save us.

But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. — Matthew 14:30

The Lord is great and greatly to be praised. Praise the Lord in Spirit and truth. Praise the Lord on the mountain, in the valley, in the dry place, in the fertile place. Praise the Lord in sickness. Praise the Lord in health. Praise the Lord for richer and when poor. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord, for he is the creator and ruler of us all. Praise the Lord. There is nothing greater and more powerful than the Lord our God. Praise the Lord. He is worthy to be praised.

Be encouraged. Be inspired. Be who God created you to be.
